Negative Keywords

This is something that Google Adwords has hidden away at the bottom of the keywords tab page on a campaign account.

Using certain negative keywords stop your ad showing people who you don't particlarly want to target. Let me give you an example.

Lets say one of your keyphrases were "Sell house Fast" What you don't want is your ad showing to someone who types in "Sell house fast in spain" This means that if you ad Spain onto your negative keywords Your ad will not show to that person.

Ideally you should have a couple of hundred negative keywords for your campaign, covering all keyphrases you use.

To find out more watch the video on the top right hand side of this page.
